The summer is rife with comic book-flavored movies. Video-games are now the new national past-time. Blogging has become the premier form of communicating your feelings and opinions to the world at large. To satiate my particular brand of schizophrenic creativity and attempt to stay relevant in an attention deficit age, I've crafted the following excuse for a blog. Oh, and a review of the new HULK movie! Woohoo!

Awesome bit of non-traditional blogging there. Yeah, wondering what the heck was going on with Mr. Blue's smiling face and weird inflating deflating head after he's smushed by Abomination... But I kinda liked Betty calling Hulk off... a sign that he isn't totally lost in rage. Though you wonder what the heck they do with Abomination after Hulk takes off.

"Mr. Blue's smiling face and weird inflating deflating head" means he's Leader. One of the many little in-jokes in the film.

First, I'd like to give credit to Brent Smith, who did the awesome cartooning piece along with my HULK movie review text. Talented bastard that he is, he's also very humble and so I needed to point out his contribution! He did the watchmen illustration for the previous blog and he'll be collaborating with me in the future as well.
Anyway, I'd like to comment on the "leader" thing. I didn't think the dude who was cast as Mr. Blue (and the one foreshadowed to be the Leader for a future movie, i'd assume) was a good choice for the role. He was goofy, eccentric, and aside from the mistranslation on that character from comics to film, his whole scene with the pre-abomination Tim Roth was just straight up retarded. Maybe the "deep, character developing" Edward Norton cut of the film will redeem that character. We'll see.
