Synopsis

Director Paul Weitz ("About a Boy") should have known the outlandish "Cirque du Freak" should have been an out-and-out comedy. Instead, it might be the single most overstuffed film of the year: a high school film crossed with a vampire film crossed with a mutant film crossed with Willem Dafoe cameos.
